Adult Studies

The Women of the ELCA at First English have monthly Bible studies open to all women. Adult Bible studies, usually 5-week discussion-based courses, using the “Book of Faith” approach, are held periodically through the year. This approach includes reading Biblical books from four perspectives:

1. Devotional
2. Literary
3. Historical
4. Lutheran theological

This makes for rich, deep, and relevant understanding, with the goal of helping participants to grow in their spiritual lives. New member classes (usually 4 sessions) are held twice each year. Hour-long Baptism preparation classes are held as needed.
