Purpose of the Church Council

The Church Council---made up of 12 members, secretary, treasurer, and pastor---is the governing board of the congregation. Lay members are elected by the congregation. The Council has general oversight of the life and activities of the congregation, states its mission, sets goals and priorities, and seeks to involve all members in worship, learning, witness, service and support. The Council promotes a climate of peace, good will, and mutual understanding, and maintains our partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, as well as cooperates with other Christian churches.
